Weather-shortened Rivalry Ends in Tie

In a much-anticipated match-up between to high powered arch-rivals, the Dolphins and Navarre Raiders played to a 1-1 tie in a game that was called early because of lightning. Makayla Sullivan opened the scoring early (2 minute mark) on a corner shot assisted by Rainey Niles. Two clock minutes later, the Raiders responded to tie the game and one in what would turn out to be the only scoring in the game. Mya Swinton scored for Gulf Breeze in the 15th minute, but the goal was called back because of a foul. The Dolphins had another goal called back in the 25th minute when Kasey Richards' shot was ruled that the goal-keeper had possession of the ball at the time of the kick. Gulf Breeze goal-keeper Margeaux Hunt had 8 saves in the shortened game.
